Day 1 : The journey starts once you reached Coorg, known as Scotland of India. From our Coorg trip plan, the first place to visit is Madikeri Fort.

About Madikeri Fort:

 It is situated at the center of the Madikeri town. This was built by Maddu Raja in 17th century. It was later on reconstructed in granite when Tippu Sultan captured the fort and renamed it as Jaffarabad.



The uniqueness of this fort is that it dwells a temple, an Anglican Church a prison and a museum. The architectural designs draw the attention of the visitors

  • Timing: 10 AM to 5:30 PM
  • Duration of visit: 2 hours approximately.

Then the itinerary for coorg is to visit the divine Omkareshwara Temple.

About Omkareshwara Temple:

Omkareshwara Temple is an ancient temple of Lord Shiva, built in 1820. The mixed architecture style of both Gothic and Islam makes it unique from other temples.



The design of the temple is similar to Muslim Darga. 

  • Timing: - 6:30 AM to 12:00 Noon and 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM
  • Best time to visit: - Between the months of March to October.
  • Duration of Visit: - 1 hour approximately.

Next head towards Raja’s Seat:

About Raja Seat:

Raja’s seat or seat of the king is one the best coorg sightseeing place. A platform where kings of Madikeri used to enjoy the sunset. It is now a renowned sunset spot in Madikeri.



One can experience colorful garden with seasonal flowers, musical fountains that dance to tune of the music.

     1. Best time to visit: Early morning or evening hours.

     2. Timing: 5:30 AM TO 8 PM.

     3. Musical Fountain Timings: 7 PM on wards on weekdays; 6:45 AM to 7:20 PM on  weekends.


Later on, proceed to Abbey Falls

About Abbey Fall:

Abbay falls or Abbi falls is one of the prior tourist spot in and around Coorg.
One can experience water avalanche from a cliff that is at a height of 70 feet. This spectacular view is overwhelming.



It is situated in midst of rich greenery in a private coffee estate.  A hanging bridge is present at a distance makes the location picturesque.

     1. Best time to visit: July to Oct.

     2. Visiting time: 9 AM to 5 PM

     3. Visit Duration: 2 hrs to 3 hrs.


Then we move on to city market for shopping, hope you love this Coorg itinerary place. It is popularly known as Friday market. One of the prominent markets in Coorg known for spices, coffee products and fresh fruits. It is famous for its products at lowest prices.

Start by visiting Golden temple a beautiful Buddhist Monastery.

About Buddhist Monastery Golden Temple:

The Buddhist golden temple at Bylakuppe is a center of thousands of Tibetan Buddhist in south India and second largest Tibetan settlement after Darmashala. It is also called as Namdroling Monastery. The golden painting crafted on the monastery makes it unique. This calm majestic place makes the visitors mind peaceful and refreshing. 


  • Visiting time: 9 AM to 6 PM
  • Visit Duration: 1 hour approximately.


Day 2: Dubare Elephant Camp.

Dubare elephant camp is one the best place for families to enjoy in our 2-night 3-day coorg itinerary plan.

About Dubare Elephant Camp:

Whether 6 or 60 years human, an elephant always brings out a child in us. Dubare Elephant Camp is a project undertaken by forest department and Jungle Lodges and resorts. It’s a place where one can witness generous number of elephants.


The elephants are trained in the camp for the world-famous Mysore Dasara.

Day 2: Chelavara Falls

Our next visit is to Chelavara Falls. One of the tallest fall in Kodagu district and also in out 3-day coorg itinerary list.

About Chelavara Fall:

Chelavara Falls a tributary of Cauvery that originates as a small stream near Cheyyandane Village gushes down from tortoise shape rock from a height of 150 feet. It is situated in the midst of coffee plantation. This scenic sight is a sight to ravish.


         1. Best time to visit: Post monsoon 

          2. Visit duration: 2 to 3 hours approximately.


Head towards Coffee Plantation tour,

About Iruppu Fall:

A pleasant waterfall avalanches along the Brahmagiri Mountain Range. This falls is situated in midst of Western Ghats. Visitors can have a plunge in water and replenish themselves.  Among the various falls in Coorg Iruppu Waterfall is most popular one.

Day 3:
